Team Rioja: Music - Zomerzang photos
"We're serious...about having fun."
by Mark Middlebrook
Zomerzang ("summer song") is a Dutch group of early music enthusiasts that organizes summer music workshops in various parts of the world. They were kind enough to invite us rowdy Americans along for two two-week medieval Spanish music workshops, which took place in northern Spain in 1997 and 1999. It was on the 1997 Zomerzang workshop that Team Rioja was founded.
Zomerzang summer in Spain 2003
Zomerzang hosted its third medieval music workshop in Spain from 20 July through 2 August 2003. Unfortunately, Team Rioja wasn't able to attend this time, but if you'd like to see photos from the trip, go to the Zomerzang Web site, click the Union Jack flag, and then click Project 2003 at the top of the page.
